Category: ZTE ZXR10 Quality of Service

Description: Manages ZTE ZXR10 Quality of Service policies including classification, marking, policing, and queuing parameters.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ZXR10-QOS-MIB?

ZXR10-QOS-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from ZTE Corporation, nested under the zxr10protocol enterprise tree (zte/zxr10/zxr10protocol), that manages Quality of Service policy on ZXR10 routers, covering traffic classification, rate limiting, and priority queuing. Its qosInputCirIfTable/qosOutputCirIfTable pair (per-interface committed/peak information rate policing) exposes match criteria (qosInputCirMatchType/MatchValue), configured CIR/PIR and burst sizes, and separate conform/exceed/violate actions and marking values for traffic in each category; qosPriorityQueueCfgTable configures per-interface queue limits for high/medium/normal/low priority levels, while qosPriorityQueueItemTable classifies traffic into those queues by match criteria. This combination of policing and priority-queue configuration lets an operator confirm which traffic classes are being rate-limited or reprioritized and whether policing thresholds are set appropriately for the interface's actual traffic mix. It depends on RFC1213-MIB's ifIndex for interface association and on SNMPv2-SMI/TC for its base types, and it is deployed on ZTE ZXR10-series routers running the ZXROS operating system. Operators of ZXR10 gear can download the ZXR10-QOS-MIB file to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-QOS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE ZXR10-series routers

Monitoring Examples

An operator polls qosInputCirCir and qosInputCirExceedAction for a given qosInputCirIndex to confirm the configured committed rate and what happens to traffic that exceeds it; if qosInputCirExceedAction is set to drop and legitimate traffic bursts are being lost, the operator knows to raise the CIR or adjust the burst-size parameters for that classification entry.

What Can Be Monitored

  • committed/peak information rate policing per interface
  • conform/exceed/violate traffic actions and marking
  • priority queue configuration and per-level limits
  • traffic classification match criteria
  • table last-changed timestamps
