Category: ZTE Access Node (ZTE-AN) Management

Description: Manages ZTE access node UAPS (Unified Authentication Policy Service) subscriber authentication settings.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ZTE-AN-UAPS-MIB?

ZTE-AN-UAPS-MIB implements the Unified Authentication Policy Service on ZTE Access Node equipment, centralizing configuration for subscriber authentication methods such as 802.1X, PPPoE, or web-portal login applied per port or service. It exposes authentication policy configuration and enable state for the device. It is a software/protocol-configuration MIB used to verify that subscriber authentication is correctly enforced on a given port, rather than a hardware-health monitor. It builds on standard 802.1X and general AAA/RADIUS authentication concepts. It is typically deployed by broadband access operators to unify and audit subscriber authentication policy across many access ports. Engineers can download the ZTE-AN-UAPS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZTE-AN-UAPS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE access node (DSLAM/OLT broadband access platform)

Monitoring Examples

No specific object names were present in the source, so the following scenario is inferred from module_desc: an operator would check the UAPS policy configuration on a port to confirm which authentication method is currently enabled. An unexpectedly disabled authentication policy would explain why unauthenticated subscriber traffic is passing through that port, a security gap worth flagging.

What Can Be Monitored

  • authentication policy enable state
  • per-port authentication method configuration
  • UAPS policy assignment
