Category: ZTE Access Node (ZTE-AN) Management

Description: Manages ZTE access node Circuit Emulation Service configuration for TDM-over-packet transport.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ZTE-AN-CES-MIB?

ZTE-AN-CES-MIB manages Circuit Emulation Service (CES) configuration on ZTE access node equipment, enabling TDM (e.g. E1/T1) circuits to be carried over a packet-switched transport network. It exposes configuration data organized around TDM slot/port/MAC/IP tables that bind emulated TDM circuits to the underlying packet transport addressing, plus SDH loopback test configuration for the access node's SDH ports. As a service-provisioning MIB its monitoring value lies in verifying that CES bindings (slot/port to MAC/IP mapping) are correctly provisioned and that SDH loopback tests report expected results, which surfaces transport-layer misconfiguration or hardware faults on the TDM-over-packet path before they cause circuit outages. It builds on TDM/SDH transport standards and packet (IP/MAC) addressing conventions rather than a single external MIB. It is deployed on ZTE access nodes providing legacy TDM circuit emulation services over Ethernet/IP or SDH-based packet transport networks, where ZTE-AN-CES-MIB SNMP monitoring verifies CES bindings and SDH loopback results.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZTE-AN-CES-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE access node equipment (TDM/CES over packet or SDH transport)

Monitoring Examples

An admin would poll zxAnCesTdmSlotMacIpTable/zxAnCesTdmSlotMacIpEntry to confirm each TDM slot/port (zxAnCesTdmSlot, zxAnCesTdmPort) is correctly bound to its MAC and IP address (zxAnCesTdmMac, zxAnCesTdmIpAddress) for circuit emulation, and check zxAnCesTdmRowStatus to confirm the row is active. Separately, polling zxAnCesSdhLoopbackTable/zxAnCesSdhLoopBackEntry (zxAnCesSdhLoopBackSlot/Port) would reveal whether an SDH loopback test is active on a given slot/port, which if left enabled unexpectedly would explain a circuit appearing down.

What Can Be Monitored

  • TDM slot/port to MAC/IP binding
  • CES row/provisioning status
  • SDH loopback test state per slot/port
