Description: Manages ZTE access node Link State Tracking configuration for uplink/downlink failure propagation.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ZTE-AN-LST-MIB?
ZTE-AN-LST-MIB manages Link State Tracking (LST) configuration on ZTE access node equipment, a feature that propagates the failure of an uplink interface down to associated downlink/subscriber-facing interfaces so downstream devices detect the outage rather than silently losing upstream connectivity. It exposes configuration data defining which downlink ports are tracked against which uplink port(s) and the resulting link-state binding. Monitoring this MIB's status objects is valuable for hardware/software fault visibility: it shows whether LST has correctly forced a downlink port down in response to an uplink failure, confirming the failure-propagation feature is functioning and helping explain why subscriber ports appear down when the real fault is upstream. It is a vendor-specific feature MIB without a direct dependency on external standards, though it interacts conceptually with standard interface status (IF-MIB ifOperStatus). It is deployed on ZTE access nodes (DSLAMs/OLTs) where uplink redundancy/failure detection needs to be visible to downstream equipment. Engineers can download the ZTE-AN-LST-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZTE-AN-LST-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ZTE access node equipment (DSLAM/OLT)
Monitoring Examples
No sample object names were provided for this MIB, so specific OIDs cannot be cited, but per module_desc an admin would check the LST binding/status configuration to confirm which downlink ports are tied to a given uplink; if the uplink fails, verifying the tracked downlink ports' operational status flips down as expected confirms LST is working rather than masking the outage.
What Can Be Monitored
- link state tracking bindings
- uplink-to-downlink tracking configuration
- downlink port forced-down status
