What Is XYPLEX-CHARACTER-MIB?
XYPLEX-CHARACTER-MIB is a legacy Xyplex (terminal server vendor, enterprise OID 33) proprietary MIB reporting basic server-wide 'characteristics' settings and per-port default destinations on a Xyplex terminal server. Its objects cover broadcast/error-report/lock enable, inactivity timer, password-retry limit, privileged/login passwords, login prompt/welcome text, active ports/users (with high-water marks), session count/high-water mark/limit, and a per-port table (default-destination action/protocol/name/LAT-node-name/LAT-port-name, auto-connect flag). As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm terminal-server session capacity and a port's default connection target. It is deployed on legacy Xyplex terminal server equipment. Engineers can download the XYPLEX-CHARACTER-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
