Category: Wellfleet BayNetworks System Management

Description: Manages Wellfleet BOT (Bandwidth on Demand) parameters and dynamic bandwidth allocation statistics.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Wellfleet-BOT-MIB?

Wellfleet-BOT-MIB is a legacy Wellfleet Communications (later Bay Networks/Nortel, built on Wellfleet-COMMON-MIB) proprietary MIB configuring BOT (Bandwidth-On-Demand/dial-backup connections?). Its objects cover a create/delete/disable/state control, an interface table (delete/disable flags, circuit/slot number, state, type, attached-to reference, packet count), keepalive interval/RTO/max-retry settings, and a peer table (delete/disable flags, slot/circuit number, remote IP address, connection originator, local TCP listen port). As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm BOT peer connectivity and keepalive tuning on a legacy Wellfleet (Bay Networks/Nortel) router. It is deployed on legacy Wellfleet Communications (Bay Networks/Nortel) routers (BOT). Engineers can download the Wellfleet-BOT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Wellfleet-BOT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy Wellfleet Communications (Bay Networks/Nortel) routers (BOT)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks wfBotPeerRemoteIpAddr and wfBotKeepaliveMaxRetry to confirm BOT peer connectivity and keepalive tuning on a legacy Wellfleet (Bay Networks/Nortel) router.

What Can Be Monitored

  • BOT peer connectivity and keepalive configuration
