Category: Juniper Unisphere ERX Conformance
Description: Defines Unisphere ERX OSPF routing protocol MIB agent conformance groups and compliance statements.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Unisphere-Data-OSPF-CONF?
Unisphere-Data-OSPF-CONF is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module for Unisphere Networks (later part of Juniper's E-series product line) describing which parts of the standard OSPF MIB are implemented by the SNMP agent on Unisphere Routing Switch products. As a conformance module it does not itself expose live operational data; instead it documents the supported object groups and compliance level for OSPF monitoring on the platform. Its practical value to an administrator is indirect: it tells a management application what OSPF monitoring capability to expect, such as neighbor state or interface metrics, before it polls the actual OSPF-MIB. It is explicitly dependent on the standard OSPF-MIB (RFC 1850) that it declares support for. It is used during EMS/NMS integration and testing against Unisphere ERX routing switches, not for day-to-day operational monitoring itself. Engineers can download the Unisphere-Data-OSPF-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-OSPF-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This module is a conformance/AGENT-CAPABILITIES statement rather than a data-bearing MIB, so there is no runtime monitoring scenario to describe honestly; its role is purely to declare which OSPF-MIB groups the Unisphere agent supports for management-station discovery.
