Category: Juniper Unisphere ERX Conformance

Description: Defines Unisphere Networks experimental OID branch for pre-standardized management objects.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Unisphere-Data-Experiment?

Unisphere-Data-Experiment is a Unisphere Networks, Inc. (Juniper ERX edge router heritage) proprietary MIB defining the top-level object-identifier registry for experimental MIB modules on Unisphere data-communications products — IETF work-in-progress MIBs not yet standardized, or vendor modules still under internal development. It carries no data objects of its own — as a structural registration MIB it exists so experimental companion MIBs can register consistent OIDs under a shared, clearly-marked experimental branch. It underlies Juniper Networks (Unisphere/ERX) edge routers running experimental/pre-release MIB modules. Engineers can download the Unisphere-Data-Experiment file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-Experiment. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Juniper Networks (Unisphere/ERX) edge routers (experimental MIBs)

Monitoring Examples

A MIB browser loads Unisphere-Data-Experiment automatically when parsing an experimental companion MIB, resolving the OID branch those pre-release modules are registered under.
