Category: Juniper Unisphere ERX Conformance

Description: Defines Unisphere ERX PPP MIB agent conformance groups and compliance statement specifications.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Unisphere-Data-PPP-CONF?

Unisphere-Data-PPP-CONF is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module documenting which PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol) management objects the SNMP agent on Unisphere/Juniper ERX routers actually implements. Like other CONF modules in this vendor's line, it contains no runtime data objects of its own, only compliance/group declarations used to validate agent feature support against the companion PPP MIB. Its relevance to monitoring is limited to telling an NMS or integrator which PPP session/interface objects are safely pollable on a given ERX firmware version. It is entirely dependent on the corresponding Unisphere PPP MIB module that defines the actual PPP objects being profiled. It is used during SNMP agent qualification and integration testing on ERX routing switch deployments, not for live monitoring. Engineers can download the Unisphere-Data-PPP-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-PPP-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Juniper/Unisphere ERX edge routing switch (agent capability declaration only)

Monitoring Examples

This is a conformance/AGENT-CAPABILITIES module with no runtime data objects; sample_objects is empty, confirming there are no pollable PPP counters defined directly in this module. Any actual PPP session monitoring would be performed against the separate PPP data MIB that this module declares support for.
