Category: Juniper Unisphere ERX Conformance

Description: Defines Unisphere ERX accounting MIB agent conformance groups and compliance specifications.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Unisphere-Data-Accounting-CONF?

Unisphere-Data-Accounting-CONF is a conformance MIB defining the agent capability groups and compliance statements for the accounting component of the SNMP agent on Unisphere (later Juniper ERX) Routing Switch family devices. It contains no operational data objects itself; it exists to specify which OBJECT-GROUPs and compliance levels an ERX accounting agent must or may support. As a pure conformance module it plays no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status — its value is only in validating that a given agent implementation correctly supports the accounting data MIB it accompanies. It is explicitly dependent on the corresponding Unisphere/ERX Accounting data MIB that defines the actual accounting objects. It applies to Unisphere ERX Routing Switch platforms (later part of Juniper's E-series) used by broadband/edge service providers for subscriber accounting. Engineers can download the Unisphere-Data-Accounting-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-Accounting-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Unisphere/Juniper ERX Routing Switch

Monitoring Examples

As a CONF/conformance module, it defines compliance and group statements rather than pollable data, so no monitoring scenario applies; it would be consulted by tooling to confirm an ERX agent's accounting feature support before that tooling attempts to poll the real Unisphere Accounting data MIB's usage/session counters.
