Category: Juniper Unisphere ERX Conformance

Description: Specifies conformance groups and compliance statements for the Unisphere ERX file transfer MIB agent.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Unisphere-Data-File-Transfer-CONF?

This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module describing the SNMP-managed file transfer subsystem (used for firmware/config uploads and downloads) on Unisphere ERX Routing Switch devices. It does not itself define data objects; it lists which object and notification groups of the companion File Transfer MIB the ERX SNMP agent supports. As such it contributes nothing directly to runtime hardware/software health monitoring like uptime or CPU load, only to conformance validation. It depends entirely on the sibling Unisphere Data File Transfer MIB for its object definitions. It would be used by MIB tooling or NMS vendors validating ERX agent capability before rolling out file-transfer-based firmware update automation, with the Unisphere-Data-File-Transfer-CONF MIB serving purely as that conformance reference.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-File-Transfer-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Juniper/Unisphere ERX Edge Router
  • ERX Routing Switch family

Monitoring Examples

This module contains no runtime data objects to poll -- it is purely an AGENT-CAPABILITIES statement enumerating supported groups of the File Transfer MIB. A MIB compiler or capability-negotiation tool would use it to confirm the ERX agent implements the expected file-transfer object/notification groups. There is no monitoring scenario to describe beyond this conformance check.
