Description: MIB for detecting and reporting self-loop (switching loop) conditions on individual interfaces of Ubiquoss network switches

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is UBQS-SLD-MIB?

UBQS-SLD-MIB is a Ubiquoss Corp. proprietary MIB implementing SLD (Self Loop Detect), which identifies and disables a port looped back on itself. Its objects cover a state-change notification, global enable/hello-interval/recovery-time/notify-only/port-check/interface-state-change-enable flags, and a per-interface table (enable, hello interval, recovery time, notify-only, port-check, state, recovery method, last-state-change time, error-disabled count, state-reset action). As a configuration/notification MIB it lets an administrator confirm which ports are error-disabled due to a detected self-loop, and their auto-recovery settings, on a Ubiquoss switch. It is deployed on Ubiquoss Corp. switching equipment (self loop detection). Engineers can download the UBQS-SLD-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in UBQS-SLD-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Ubiquoss Corp. switching equipment (self loop detection)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator receives ubiSelfLoopDetectStateChange and checks ubiSldIfErrorDisabledCount to confirm a self-loop was detected and disabled on a Ubiquoss switch port.

What Can Be Monitored

  • self-loop detection state and error-disable/recovery status
