trpzRFDetectUnAuthorizedOuiTrap

Module: TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-TRAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-TRAP-MIB::trpzRFDetectUnAuthorizedOuiTrap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.14525.5.0.32

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: This trap is sent when RF detection finds use of an unauthorized OUI. trpzRFDetectXmtrMacAddr is the radio MAC address from the beacon. trpzRFDetectListenerListInfo is a display string of a list of listener information. Obsoleted by trpzRFDetectRogueDeviceTrap2 and trpzRFDetectSuspectDeviceTrap2. One of the two traps will be sent if the device having an unauthorized OUI is classified as rogue or suspect because of this.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-TRAP-MIB::trpzRFDetectUnAuthorizedOuiTrap
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.14525.5.0.32

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:49279->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
