What Is TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-BASIC-TC?
TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-BASIC-TC is a textual-conventions-only module from Trapeze Networks (later part of Juniper's wireless LAN business) that defines shared SNMP data types used throughout the vendor's WLAN switch and access point MIB suite. It does not expose any runtime objects of its own -- no interfaces, counters, environment sensors, or traps -- but instead standardizes representations such as identifiers and enumerations reused by other Trapeze MIBs. Because it carries no monitorable data, it plays no direct role in hardware/software status polling by itself; its value is entirely as a dependency. Every other Trapeze WLAN management MIB (covering access points, radios, and mobility domains) imports these conventions, making this module a foundational building block rather than an end-user monitoring target. It is deployed wherever Trapeze/Juniper wireless LAN switches and access points are managed via SNMP, and network engineers typically keep this TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-BASIC-TC reference on hand when interpreting data types used by the vendor's other WLAN MIBs.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-BASIC-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Trapeze Networks wireless LAN switch/controller and access points
Monitoring Examples
This is purely a set of textual-convention (data type) definitions with no runtime tables or objects to poll; its role is to supply shared types that other Trapeze WLAN MIBs (e.g. access point and radio management MIBs) use when defining their own monitorable objects.
