Description: Defines Trapeze Networks RF noise measurement SNMP textual conventions for spectrum analysis data types.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-RF-NOISE-TC-MIB?

TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-RF-NOISE-TC-MIB is a textual-conventions-only support module for Trapeze Networks (later Juniper) wireless switches, defining shared SNMP data types for representing RF noise and spectrum measurements. It does not itself expose device data tables; instead it standardizes data types (categories/units for noise levels) that other Trapeze MIBs reference when reporting RF spectrum or interference conditions. Because it carries no runtime objects, it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status; its value is purely definitional, underpinning RF-quality monitoring performed through other Trapeze MIBs (such as AP or radio status MIBs) that import its types. It explicitly depends on and is used in conjunction with the broader Trapeze Networks MIB family, following standard SNMPv2 SMI/textual-convention conventions. It is deployed wherever Trapeze/Juniper wireless switches and access points are used in enterprise wireless LANs. Engineers can download the TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-RF-NOISE-TC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-RF-NOISE-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Trapeze Networks (Juniper) wireless switch/access controller and access points

Monitoring Examples

This module is a conformance/textual-convention-only MIB with no runtime data objects — the provided sample_objects list is empty — so there is no monitoring scenario to describe here. Its sole purpose is to define shared SNMP data types (for representing RF noise/spectrum values) that are consumed by other Trapeze MIBs which do expose pollable RF-related data.
