trpzClientIpAddrChangeTrap2
Module: TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-TRAP-MIB
OID (symbolic): TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-TRAP-MIB::trpzClientIpAddrChangeTrap2
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.14525.5.0.81
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description: This trap is sent when an IP address of a client changes. The most likely cases for this are when the client first connects to the network and when a new IPv6 global address is assigned to the client.
The pair of objects trpzClientIpAddrType/trpzClientIpAddr indicates the type and the value of the new IP address.
If trpzClientAccessMode = 'ap': trpzApNum, trpzApRadioIndex, trpzRadioSSID identify the AP/radio/BSS providing wireless service to this client at the time this trap was sent;
If trpzClientAccessMode = 'wired': trpzPhysPortNum identifies the physical port on the AC used by this wired-auth client.
Obsoletes trpzClientIpAddrChangeTrap.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-TRAP-MIB::trpzClientIpAddrChangeTrap2 snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.14525.5.0.81
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:51214->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (453093390) 52 days, 10:35:33.90 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-TRAP-MIB::trpzClientIpAddrChangeTrap2
SNMPv3 example:
snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' TRAPEZE-NETWORKS-TRAP-MIB::trpzClientIpAddrChangeTrap2
