What Is TRANSITION-TC?
TRANSITION-TC is a textual-conventions (TC) module published by Transition Networks, a vendor of media converters and industrial Ethernet networking gear. It does not define any monitorable objects itself; instead it declares shared SNMP data types (textual conventions) that are reused for consistency across Transition Networks' various enterprise MIB modules. As a pure type-definition module it has no bearing on hardware/software status monitoring on its own, since it carries no scalars, tables, or traps. It is a dependency that other Transition Networks MIBs (covering things like media converter port status, chassis inventory, or environmental sensors) import from, so its role is purely supportive. It is deployed alongside those functional MIBs wherever a Transition Networks device is SNMP-managed. Engineers can download the TRANSITION-TC file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor.
