Description: Defines TippingPoint VSA vendor-specific attribute OID registration for RADIUS authentication integration.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TPT-VSA-REG-MIB?
TPT-VSA-REG-MIB is a Trend Micro (formerly TippingPoint) enterprise MIB whose sole purpose is to register the object-identifier (OID) sub-tree for TippingPoint Virtual Security Appliance (VSA) vendor-specific attributes used in RADIUS authentication integration. It does not define any runtime data tables, counters, or trap objects for interface, environmental, or performance monitoring; it exists purely as an OID namespace declaration that RADIUS/AAA implementations reference when encoding vendor-specific attributes for TippingPoint VSA devices. Consequently it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status -- its function is administrative (OID registration) rather than operational telemetry. It is inherently dependent on the RADIUS VSA framework and on being paired with the actual TippingPoint VSA product MIBs/AAA configuration that use these registered identifiers. It would be referenced in enterprise deployments where a TippingPoint Virtual Security Appliance authenticates via RADIUS and needs vendor-specific attribute encoding recognized by the network's AAA infrastructure. Engineers can download the TPT-VSA-REG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TPT-VSA-REG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This module has no populated sample objects and defines no data or trap tables -- it is purely an OID sub-tree registration for TippingPoint VSA RADIUS vendor-specific attributes -- so there is no runtime monitoring scenario to describe; its OIDs are consumed by RADIUS server/client configurations rather than polled directly.

RFC description
Registration and sub-tree objects for TippingPoint Virtual Security Appliance (VSA) products.
Start monitoring TippingPoint Virtual Security Appliance (VSA) (RADIUS vendor-specific-attribute OID registration, no data objects) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
