Description: The value of the object svcEpipePbbFlooding indicates the state for traffic flowing into the Backbone-VPLS through PBB tunnel.

If the backbone-destination MAC is found in the FDB of Backbone-VPLS then traffic will be sent to specific SAP/SDP and this object will be set to 'false'.

In case of SPB Managed Backbone-VPLS, if backbone-destination MAC is not found in the FDB of Backbone-VPLS then traffic will not be sent out of any SAP/SDP and this object will be set to 'false'. Otherwise, traffic will be flooded to all SAP/SDP bindings in the Backbone-VPLS and the object will be set to 'true'.

What is svcEpipePbbFlooding?

A true/false flag indicating whether unknown destination MACs in a Provider Backbone Bridge tunnel are flooded to all ports. When true, unknown traffic floods; when false, traffic is unicast to a specific port. An operator disables flooding once MAC learning converges to reduce unnecessary bandwidth.
