Module: TIMETRA-SDP-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-SDP-MIB::sdpTlsMacAddrLimitAlarmCleared

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.4.4.0.8

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: The sdpTlsMacAddrLimitAlarmCleared notification is sent whenever the number of MAC addresses stored in the FDB for this spoke SDP drops to the watermark specified by the object svcTlsFdbTableFullLowWatermark.

What is sdpTlsMacAddrLimitAlarmCleared?

This notification is sent when the count of learned MAC addresses in the FDB (Forwarding Database) for a spoke SDP drops to the low-watermark threshold after previously exceeding the high-water limit. It signals recovery from MAC table congestion. An operator receives this alarm to confirm that MAC address flooding issues have been resolved and the FDB is healthy again.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TIMETRA-SDP-MIB::sdpTlsMacAddrLimitAlarmCleared
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.4.4.0.8

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:52602->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (378322810) 43 days, 18:53:48.10
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: TIMETRA-SDP-MIB::sdpTlsMacAddrLimitAlarmCleared

SNMPv3 example:

snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' TIMETRA-SDP-MIB::sdpTlsMacAddrLimitAlarmCleared
