sdpBindTlsLimitMacMoveLevel

Module: TIMETRA-SDP-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-SDP-MIB::sdpBindTlsLimitMacMoveLevel

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.4.4.6.1.45

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TlsLimitMacMoveLevel

Access: read-write

Description: The value of the object sdpBindTlsLimitMacMoveLevel specifies the hierarchy in which spoke-SDPs are blocked when a MAC-move limit is exceeded. When a MAC is moving among multiple SAPs or spoke-SDPs, the SAP bind or spoke-SDP bind with the lower level is blocked first. (tertiary is the lowest)

What is sdpBindTlsLimitMacMoveLevel?

This object defines the hierarchical level at which spoke-SDP (Service Distribution Point) bindings are blocked when MAC address movement limits are exceeded. When a MAC oscillates rapidly between multiple SAPs (Service Access Points) or spoke-SDPs, the lower-level bindings block first to prevent instability. Operators configure this to control which bindings are sacrificed when network loops or excessive MAC movement occur.
