Module: TIMETRA-SAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-SAP-MIB::sapTlsRestProtSrcMacAction

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.4.3.3.1.60

Description: The value of the object sapTlsRestProtSrcMacAction indicates the action to take whenever a relearn request for a protected MAC is received on a restricted SAP. When the value of this object is 'disable' the SAP will be placed in the operational down state, with the operating flag 'recProtSrcMac' set. When the value of this object is 'alarm-only', the SAP will be left up and only a notification, sapReceivedProtSrcMac, will be generated.

What is sapTlsRestProtSrcMacAction?

This boolean controls the action when a protected MAC address tries to move to a restricted SAP: either shut down the SAP or log an alarm only. It prevents unauthorized device moves on security-protected ports. An operator sets this to 'disable' for strict security or 'alarm-only' for auditing.
