What is sapTlsDHCPSuspiciousPcktRcvd?

This notification is generated when a DHCP packet with anomalous or suspicious content is detected at a service access point, such as malformed options or unexpected source addresses. The event alerts operational systems to potentially malicious or misconfigured DHCP clients. An operator would use this notification to identify and investigate unauthorized DHCP behavior or configuration errors in the network.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TIMETRA-SAP-MIB::sapTlsDHCPSuspiciousPcktRcvd
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.4.3.0.8

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
