Description: The sapStaticHostDynMacConflict notification indicates that the system is trying to learn a conflicting IP-only static host dynamic MAC address (sapStaticHostDynMacAddress).

What is sapStaticHostDynMacConflict?

This notification alert fires when the system attempts to dynamically learn a MAC address for a statically-configured IP host, but detects a conflict with an existing static host definition. An operator receives this alert when MAC address assignments or host configurations are misconfigured, prompting manual remediation.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TIMETRA-SAP-MIB::sapStaticHostDynMacConflict
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.4.3.0.16

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:58442->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
