Module: TIMETRA-SAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-SAP-MIB::sapDHCPLeaseEntriesExceeded

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.4.3.0.9

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: The sapDHCPLeaseEntriesExceeded notification is generated when the number of DHCP lease state entries on a given SAP reaches a user configurable upper limit. This limit is given by sapTlsDhcpLeasePopulate for a TLS service and by TIMETRA-VRTR-MIB::vRtrIfDHCPLeasePopulate for an IES or VPRN service.

What is sapDHCPLeaseEntriesExceeded?

This trap notification fires when the number of DHCP lease state entries on a Service Access Point reaches a system-defined upper limit, indicating that DHCP client capacity is exhausted. The threshold is separately configured for different service types (TLS, IES, or VPRN). Service providers monitor this trap to detect when customer DHCP pools are full and must be expanded to accommodate new subscribers or devices.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TIMETRA-SAP-MIB::sapDHCPLeaseEntriesExceeded
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.4.3.0.9

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:57852->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
