Module: TIMETRA-MLD-SNOOPING-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-MLD-SNOOPING-MIB::sapMldSnpgCfgDisRtrAlertChk

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.45.2.2.1.15

Description: sapMldSnpgCfgDisRtrAlertChk is used to enable/disable router alert checking for IGMP messages received on this sap.

If this flag is set to 'true', checking is disabled.

What is sapMldSnpgCfgDisRtrAlertChk?

Disables the Router Alert option check on incoming MLD messages for this SAP when set true; this relaxes RFC compliance to interoperate with hosts/routers that omit the Router Alert option. Note the object's own DESCRIPTION text says "IGMP messages" (IGMP is the IPv4 protocol) even though this is the MLD-snooping MIB for IPv6 -- almost certainly copy-pasted from the IGMP-snooping equivalent object; for this MIB it actually governs MLD message checking.
