Description: Manages Terawave DSL access TDM interface configuration and circuit status.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TERAWAVE-teraTDM-MIB?

TERAWAVE-teraTDM-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from Terawave Communications for its DSL/TDM access equipment, covering the TDM interface card and its 'Peabody' framer chipset. It exposes per-slot/per-card data such as the teraTDMCardStatsTable, covering configuration, framer link state, and CRC error statistics for TDM circuits carried over T1/E1-style facilities. It is used primarily to monitor hardware health of TDM cards — tracking Peabody chipset link state (teraTDMPeabodyLSBState), CRC error counts (teraTDMPeabodyLSBCrcCount), link up-transition counts, and installed firmware/feature version (teraTDMPeabodyVersion, teraTDMPeabodyFeature) to catch failing cards or degrading TDM circuits. It follows conventional TDM/T-carrier card and slot indexing conventions similar to standard DS1/DS3 management models rather than defining an entirely new data model. It is deployed in telecom central-office or remote-terminal DSL access multiplexers where TDM backhaul circuits need continuous physical-layer health monitoring via the TERAWAVE-teraTDM-MIB MIB.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TERAWAVE-teraTDM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Terawave DSL access multiplexer
  • TDM/T1-E1 access card

Monitoring Examples

An admin would poll teraTDMCardStatsTable (indexed by teraTDMSlotIndex) alongside teraTDMPeabodyLSBState to confirm a TDM card's framer is synchronized. A rising teraTDMPeabodyLSBCrcCount combined with an increasing teraTDMPeabodyTransitionUpCount would reveal a physical-layer problem — line noise or a failing connector causing the card to repeatedly resynchronize. teraTDMPeabodyVersion/teraTDMPeabodyFeature would be checked to confirm all cards in a chassis run compatible chipset firmware.

What Can Be Monitored

  • TDM card slot status
  • Peabody chipset framer/link state
  • CRC error counts
  • link up-transition counts
  • Peabody firmware version and feature flags
