Description: Manages Terawave DSL access connection admission control policies and thresholds.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TERAWAVE-teraCAC-MIB?

TERAWAVE-teraCAC-MIB is a Terawave Communications proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 4513) configuring CAC (Connection Admission Control) traffic-class weighting for upstream/downstream bandwidth allocation on Terawave PON access equipment. Its objects cover per-traffic-class (real-time VBR, real-time VBR peak, non-real-time VBR and peak, UBR, UBR minimum-cell-rate, mesh-guaranteed, mesh-maximum) weighting values for both upstream and downstream directions, alongside a per-slot/PON-index upstream-usage table breaking down current allocation by traffic class. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm CAC weighting matches the intended service-level allocation across traffic classes on a PON. It is deployed on Terawave Communications PON access equipment. Engineers can download the TERAWAVE-teraCAC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TERAWAVE-teraCAC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Terawave Communications PON access equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks teraCACUpWeightrtVBR against teraLevel1UpStreamrtVBR to confirm real-time VBR traffic is receiving its configured share of upstream PON bandwidth on Terawave equipment.

What Can Be Monitored
