What Is TELDAT-TRAP-POLR-MIB?
The TELDAT-TRAP-POLR-MIB is a vendor-specific SNMP notification module for Teldat routers' policy-based routing (POLR) subsystem, defining traps for events tied to policy-routed traffic. It exposes source/destination address, packet length, protocol, and interface for flagged flows. Its monitoring purpose is software-level visibility into policy-routing decisions and anomalies — flagging traffic that hit a policy rule unexpectedly or an interface mismatch — helping confirm that policy-based forwarding rules on the router are behaving as configured. It builds on the router's underlying IP routing/forwarding engine rather than any external IETF policy-routing MIB. It is deployed on Teldat routers using policy-based routing to steer specific traffic classes, where operators want alerting on rule-triggered events. Engineers can download the TELDAT-TRAP-POLR-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
A trap with polr1-srcaddr, polr1-dstaddr, polr1-length, and polr1-protocol characterizes exactly which flow triggered a policy-routing event, and polr2-interface identifies which interface the flow arrived on or was routed through. polr5-srcaddr and polr5-dstaddr in a later event group let an operator compare which source/destination pairs are repeatedly hitting policy rules, useful for validating or debugging routing-policy configuration.
