Category: Teldat Router Management

Description: Monitors Teldat router network SLA (NSLA) feature measurements, probe results, and threshold violation status.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TELDAT-MON-FEATURES-NSLA-MIB?

TELDAT-MON-FEATURES-NSLA-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from Teldat covering the Network Level Service Advisor (NSLA) feature, which filters and logically combines results from the router's Network Service Monitor (NSM) probes and level indicators into boolean outcomes usable by other router features (such as routing failover decisions). It exposes a filter table describing each configured NSLA filter's activation state, enable/mute flags, inversion logic, output result, and toggle/activity thresholds. Its monitoring purpose is software feature and service-health status: administrators watch whether a given NSLA filter's boolean output indicates a monitored network condition (e.g., link or service reachability) has failed a threshold, and can see whether a filter has been manually or configuration-muted, disabled, or inverted, which affects how alarms and failover logic behave. It explicitly depends on and aggregates results from the Teldat NSM (Network Service Monitor) subsystem and its 'Level Indicator' updates, making it a higher-level correlation layer rather than a standalone probe. It is typically deployed on Teldat routers using SLA-based path monitoring to drive automatic failover or alerting when a network service or link degrades. Engineers can download the TELDAT-MON-FEATURES-NSLA-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-MON-FEATURES-NSLA-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Teldat enterprise/carrier routers

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll teldatNslaFilterTable / teldatNslaFilterEntry keyed by teldatNslaFilterIndex to read teldatNslaFilterOutput, the current boolean result of the filter's logic; if this flips to a failing state while teldatNslaFilterCfgEnable and teldatNslaFilterUserEnable both show the filter active, it signals a genuine underlying NSM/service degradation rather than an administratively disabled check. Fields like teldatNslaFilterCfgMute, teldatNslaFilterUserMute, and teldatNslaFilterOverActTh help distinguish an intentionally silenced filter from one that has exceeded its activation threshold, and teldatNslaFilterToggles counts how often the result has flapped.

What Can Be Monitored

  • NSLA filter boolean output/result
  • filter enable/mute/invert state
  • filter activation threshold and toggle count
  • service/link degradation status
