Description: MIB for managing uninterruptible power supplies, covering battery, input/output power, bypass, alarms, tests, and scheduled shutdowns

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is SNMP-UPS-MIB?

SNMP-UPS-MIB is a legacy generic proprietary MIB reporting UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) battery, input, and output status. Its objects cover a device description/model-specific string, battery time-remaining/temperature/voltage/charge-current/discharge-current/capacity, input frequency, brownout/blackout/transient counts, input phase count, a per-phase input table (voltage, current, VA, watts), and output frequency, inverter/controller temperature, output phase count, and an output table. As a performance/status MIB it lets an administrator watch battery runtime and input power-quality events on a legacy SNMP-managed UPS. It is deployed on legacy SNMP-managed UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) equipment. Engineers can download the SNMP-UPS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SNMP-UPS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy SNMP-managed UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks batTimeRemaining and inputBrownOuts to watch battery runtime and input power-quality events on a legacy SNMP-managed UPS.
