testIndicators

Module: SNMP-UPS-MIB

OID (symbolic): SNMP-UPS-MIB::testIndicators

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.9999.8.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Setting this variable to 'start' will initiate the indicators test. Setting this variable to 'abort' will stop the indicators test if the test is in-progress, otherwise it has no effect. Reading this variable will return zero.

What is testIndicators?

Writing start(1) kicks off a test of the UPS's front-panel indicators (lights/display), and writing abort(2) stops one already in progress; reading this object always returns zero, so check testIndicatorsStatus for the result.
