testBattery
Module: SNMP-UPS-MIB
OID (symbolic): SNMP-UPS-MIB::testBattery
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.9999.8.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: Setting this variable to 'start' will initiate the battery test. Setting this variable to 'abort' will stop the battery test if the test is in- progress, otherwise it has no effect. Reading this variable will return zero. If 'testBatteryStatus' is remain in the failure state.
What is testBattery?
Writing start(1) kicks off a battery self-test, and writing abort(2) stops one already in progress (or does nothing if none is running); reading this object always returns zero, so check testBatteryStatus for the actual result.
