testDiag

Module: SNMP-UPS-MIB

OID (symbolic): SNMP-UPS-MIB::testDiag

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.9999.8.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Setting this variable to 'start' will initiate the diagnostics test. Setting this variable to 'abort' will stop the diagnostics test if the test is in-progress, otherwise it has no effect. Reading this variable will return zero.

What is testDiag?

Writing start(1) kicks off the UPS's general diagnostics test, and writing abort(2) stops one already in progress (or does nothing if none is running); reading this object always returns zero, so check testDiagStatus for the result.
