Description: MIB for NCR SST SND-01 PC sound card device management, exposing manufacturer, version, serial number, and verification state

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is SND-01-PCSOUND-MIB?

SND-01-PCSOUND-MIB is a legacy NCR (retail/self-service device) proprietary MIB reporting device identification and service-tally counters for the SND-01 PC sound/announcement peripheral used in self-checkout or kiosk systems. Its objects cover manufacturer, product, version, serial number, installation and verify identifiers, device name/short/long description, universal ID, variant, a service table (index, variant, state, maintenance/replenishment status, clear-state/clear-tallies actions), and a service-tally table (name, index, name). As a status MIB it lets an administrator confirm a sound-peripheral service's operational state and clear its usage tallies for reporting. It is deployed on NCR self-service/retail peripherals with the SND-01 sound module. Engineers can download the SND-01-PCSOUND-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SND-01-PCSOUND-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • NCR self-service/retail peripherals (SND-01 sound module)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks srvServiceState and clears srvServiceClearTallies to reset usage counters on an NCR SND-01 sound peripheral in a retail self-checkout system.
