Description: Manages SysKonnect Gigabit Ethernet adapter configuration, link status, and performance counters.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is SK-GE-MIB?
SK-GE-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from SysKonnect for managing their Gigabit Ethernet network interface adapters, sitting in the networking/NIC hardware category. It exposes configuration data such as device type, driver description and version, port numbering, and per-adapter management actions. Because it surfaces driver version and adapter identification data, it supports monitoring the software/firmware state of the NIC alongside basic link/port status, letting admins confirm the adapter is running the expected driver and is properly enumerated by the host. It has no explicit dependency on other MIBs beyond standard SNMPv2 SMI conventions, though it complements IF-MIB for interface-level statistics. It is typically deployed on servers or workstations fitted with SysKonnect (later Marvell/SysKonnect) Gigabit Ethernet cards where IT staff want driver/version visibility beyond what standard interface MIBs provide, and an SK-GE-MIB download is available for IT staff who need to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SK-GE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- SysKonnect Gigabit Ethernet network adapters
- servers/workstations with SysKonnect NICs
Monitoring Examples
An admin would poll skGeTable/skGeEntry indexed by skGeIndex to correlate each adapter's skGeIfIndex with skGePortNumber and skGeDeviceType, confirming which physical port maps to which logical interface. Checking skGeDriverVersion and skGeDriverDescr across a fleet of servers can reveal machines running an outdated or mismatched NIC driver. skGeMibVersion identifies the MIB revision supported by the agent, while skGeAction/skGeNumber support triggering or tracking administrative actions against the adapter.
What Can Be Monitored

- driver description
- driver version

RFC description
MIB module for managing Gigabit Ethernet interfaces on SK (Sakura/specialized) network equipment. Provides objects for configuring and monitoring high-speed Ethernet port parameters and statistics.
Start monitoring SysKonnect Gigabit Ethernet network adapters, servers/workstations with SysKonnect NICs (driver/firmware identification) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
