skGeConfLinkMode

Module: SK-GE-MIB

OID (symbolic): SK-GE-MIB::skGeConfLinkMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.179.2.5.1.18.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Defines in which mode the port should work. The modes half-duplex and full-duplex force the port to work in the corresponding mode. No autonegotiation is performed. The auto modes let the port perform autonegotiation with the capabilities half-duplex, full-duplex or both modes. The sense mode starts with autonegotiation and if failed falls back to full-duplex mode. After the link went down a new sense cycle is started.

What is skGeConfLinkMode?

The requested operating mode for this port: half-duplex or full-duplex force that mode with no autonegotiation; the auto-* modes perform autonegotiation advertising the given capability set; auto-both negotiates either; and sense starts with autonegotiation, falls back to full-duplex if it fails, and restarts a new sense cycle whenever the link drops.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.179.2.5.1.18.1.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> SK-GE-MIB::skGeConfLinkMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.179.2.5.1.18.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> SK-GE-MIB::skGeConfLinkMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.179.2.5.1.18.1.8.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> skGeConfLinkMode.1
