Description: Defines Silver Peak Systems textual conventions for WAN optimization policy and tunnel state.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is SILVERPEAK-TC?
SILVERPEAK-TC is a textual-conventions (TC) module published by Silver Peak Systems, a WAN optimization and SD-WAN vendor, and is used purely to define shared data types (enumerations, string formats, etc.) referenced by Silver Peak's other enterprise MIBs covering WAN optimization policy and tunnel state. As a TC-only module it does not itself define any object instances, tables, or traps, so it exposes no directly pollable operational data on its own. Consequently it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status; its value is entirely as shared infrastructure that keeps type definitions (such as tunnel state or policy enumerations) consistent across the full family of Silver Peak MIBs. It is a foundational dependency for every other Silver Peak enterprise MIB module that references these textual conventions. It is present wherever Silver Peak WAN optimization appliances or virtual instances are deployed, as a supporting module within the SILVERPEAK-TC MIB family rather than a standalone monitoring target.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SILVERPEAK-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Silver Peak Systems WAN optimization/SD-WAN appliances
Monitoring Examples
As a TEXTUAL-CONVENTION-only module, SILVERPEAK-TC defines no MODULE-IDENTITY runtime objects, tables, or traps of its own, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe for it directly. Its types are consumed by other Silver Peak MIBs (e.g., those covering tunnels and WAN optimization policy), where a real monitoring poll would actually occur.
