Category: Microwave Radio - SAGEM

Description: Manages SAGEM SDH synchronous transport equipment configuration and performance monitoring.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is SDH-ETS-MIB?

SDH-ETS-MIB is a SAGEM-Tolbiac (drd/ddp/tmhd division) proprietary MIB (per ETSI ETS 300 304, built on EQUIPMENT-MIB/SAGEM-DR-MIB, referenced by XCON-MIB for cross-connections) defining the SDH transmission portion of network-element equipment. Its SPI (SDH Physical Interface) TTP (Trail Termination Point) table, keyed by index, records STM level, type, name, board index/access, monitor/failure/severity settings, loopback, LOS (Loss of Signal), and TF (Transmission Failure), while a companion RS (Regenerator Section) TTP table records monitor/name/failure/severity, EOW mode, and E1/F1 source pointers. As a status/configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm SDH termination-point alarm severity and loopback state on a SAGEM SDH network element. It is deployed on SAGEM-Tolbiac SDH transmission network-element equipment. Engineers can download the SDH-ETS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SDH-ETS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • SAGEM-Tolbiac SDH transmission network-element equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks spiTTPFailure and spiTTPLos to diagnose a signal-loss condition on a SAGEM SDH network element's termination point.
