Module: RAPID-CITY

OID (symbolic): RAPID-CITY::rcPlugOptModRxPowerLowAlarmThreshold

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.71.1.1.39

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description:

This value represents the vendor specified low receiver power threshold. If the measured received power falls below this value, a receiver power low is asserted. It is a positive number expressed in units of micro watts and can range from 0 to 65.535 mW (-40 to 18.16 dBm).

What is rcPlugOptModRxPowerLowAlarmThreshold?

This OID holds the minimum optical power level at which the receiver still functions properly. Operators compare measured power against this threshold to detect signal degradation. For example, if the threshold is -30 dBm and received power drops to -35 dBm, an alarm triggers indicating a bad cable or component failure.
