Description:

Indicate the interval in which the DDM alert registers is polled

What is rcPlugOptModDdmMonitorInterval?

This object sets the polling interval (in seconds, ranging from 5 to 60, default 5) at which the system samples Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) alert registers on optical modules. DDM allows real-time monitoring of optical transceiver parameters such as temperature, power levels, and laser bias current to detect problems early. Network operators adjust this interval to balance the need for responsive fault detection with the desire to minimize monitoring overhead on heavily instrumented optics.
