Description: Provides access to the OSPFv3 link-state database for IPv6 topology inspection.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is RADLAN-OSPFV3-LSDB-MIB?

RADLAN-OSPFV3-LSDB-MIB is a Marvell/RADLAN private enterprise MIB exposing the OSPFv3 (OSPF for IPv6) link-state database of RADLAN-based routing switches, giving visibility into the router-LSAs forming the IPv6 topology as seen by the local OSPFv3 process. It surfaces a router-LSA table keyed by process ID, area ID, link-state ID, and advertising router ID, with each entry carrying the LSA's sequence number, age, checksum, and length. This is a routing-protocol/topology-status MIB rather than a hardware-health MIB: it lets an admin confirm LSAs are generated, refreshed, and aged correctly and checksums are valid, revealing routing-protocol instability or corruption rather than physical faults. It parallels the standard OSPFv3 MIB (RFC 5643) and the LSA aging/flooding model of RFC 5340, though implemented as a RADLAN private extension. The RADLAN-OSPFV3-LSDB-MIB MIB is typically deployed on RADLAN-based Layer 3 switches/routers running OSPFv3 in IPv6-enabled networks.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RADLAN-OSPFV3-LSDB-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Marvell/RADLAN-based Layer 3 switch/router
  • OEM routing switches licensing the RADLAN software stack

Monitoring Examples

An administrator troubleshooting IPv6 routing instability would poll rlOspfv3RouterLsaTable/rlOspfv3RouterLsaEntry, checking rlOspfv3RouterLsaAge and rlOspfv3RouterLsaSequence for a given rlOspfv3RouterLsaRouterId to see whether an LSA refreshes abnormally often (route flapping) or is stuck near max age (a stale/orphaned LSA). rlOspfv3RouterLsaChecksum compared across polls can detect corrupted LSA propagation. rlOspfv3RouterLsaAreaId and rlOspfv3RouterLsaProcessId scope the query to a specific process and area on a multi-area router.

What Can Be Monitored

  • OSPFv3 router-LSA age
  • LSA sequence number
  • LSA checksum
  • LSA length
  • advertising router ID
  • OSPFv3 area/process scoping
