What Is RADLAN-AGGREGATEVLAN-MIB?

RADLAN-AGGREGATEVLAN-MIB is a Radlan (Marvell) proprietary MIB implementing Aggregate VLANs, a super-VLAN feature letting multiple sub-VLANs (each with its own IP subnet) share a single routed interface and gateway to conserve IP address space. Its aggregate-VLAN table records each aggregate VLAN's name, physical-address type, and row status, while a sub-VLAN table maps member sub-VLANs (by interface index) to their parent aggregate, plus an ARP-proxy enable object. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm which sub-VLANs are bound to a given aggregate VLAN and whether ARP proxying is enabled between them. It is deployed on Radlan/Marvell-based OEM switch platforms (seen under multiple vendor brandings). Engineers can download the RADLAN-AGGREGATEVLAN-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RADLAN-AGGREGATEVLAN-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

What Can Be Monitored

  • aggregate VLAN and sub-VLAN membership
  • ARP proxy state

Supported Devices

  • Radlan/Marvell-based OEM switch platforms

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks rlAggregateSubVlanTable to confirm a newly-created sub-VLAN has been correctly bound to its parent aggregate VLAN before enabling ARP proxy for inter-subnet host communication.
