What Is RAD-DS1-MIB?
RAD-DS1-MIB is a RAD Data Communications proprietary MIB extending the standard DS1/T1 MIB with additional current- and interval-statistics objects (built on RAD-GEN-MIB/RAD-MIB). Its current-statistics table reports live DS1 alarm conditions — loss of signal (LOS), loss of frame (LOF), loss of carrier (LOC), AIS, remote alarm indication (RAI), CRC multiframe loss, far-end block errors (FEBE), bipolar violations (BPV), and CRC errors — while a parallel interval table records the same set of counters per 15-minute interval. As a performance/hardware-status MIB it lets an administrator pinpoint exactly which DS1 alarm condition (LOS vs. AIS vs. bipolar violations) is driving circuit errors and how it trends over recent intervals. It is deployed on RAD Data Communications DS1/T1 access equipment. Engineers can download the RAD-DS1-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RAD-DS1-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

An administrator checks dsx1CurrentBPV and dsx1IntervalBPV across recent 15-minute intervals to determine whether bipolar violations on a DS1 circuit are a one-off event or a persistent line-quality problem.
