All MIBs › PVC-TRAP-MIB
Category: Network Fault Management, Pseudowire and L2VPN
Description: Provides trap notifications for Permanent Virtual Circuit (PVC) fault conditions including connection failure and AIS/RDI alarms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is PVC-TRAP-MIB?
PVC-TRAP-MIB is a legacy Bay Networks/Centillion (built on CENTILLION-ATMCFG-MIB/CENTILLION-ATMMON-MIB/CENTILLION-ROOT-MIB) proprietary MIB with a single trap sent when a CLC (Cross-connected Logical Circuit) PVC goes down, i.e. its RemotePvcStatus indicator transitions to down. Its varbinds identify the ATM card index, ATM port index, and PVC circuit ID. As a notification MIB it lets an administrator get alerted immediately when an ATM PVC drops on a legacy Bay Networks Centillion switch. It is deployed on legacy Bay Networks Centillion ATM switching equipment. Engineers can download the PVC-TRAP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in PVC-TRAP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Legacy Bay Networks Centillion ATM switching equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator receives this trap with the atmPvcCktId varbind to identify exactly which ATM PVC went down on a legacy Bay Networks Centillion switch.
What Can Be Monitored
- ATM PVC down events
