Category: ATM, Vendor: Nortel
Description: Manages ATM connection configuration including PVC/SVC setup and traffic parameters on Nortel Centillion ATM switches.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CENTILLION-ATMCFG-MIB?
CENTILLION-ATMCFG-MIB is a Bay Networks (Centillion) proprietary MIB configuring ATM Emulated LAN (ELAN) instances on Centillion ATM switches. Its ELAN configuration table, keyed by ELAN index, records the ELAN type, enable state, total circuit count, and the virtual card/port/segment identifiers backing that ELAN. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm an ELAN is enabled and mapped to the correct virtual card/port before diagnosing a LAN Emulation connectivity problem. It is deployed on Bay Networks Centillion ATM switches providing LAN Emulation services. Engineers can download the CENTILLION-ATMCFG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CENTILLION-ATMCFG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Bay Networks Centillion ATM switches
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks atmElanEnable and atmElanVirtualPort for a specific ELAN index to confirm it's active and mapped to the expected virtual port before troubleshooting a LAN Emulation client connectivity issue.
What Can Be Monitored
- ELAN enable state, circuit count, and virtual card/port mapping
