Category: Server Hardware Monitoring
Description: Provides NEC ESMPRO ServerAgents trap notifications for Intel E1 Express Gigabit Ethernet NIC driver events on Windows.

Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is PSA-WinIntele1expressTrap-MIB?
PSA-WinIntele1expressTrap-MIB is a vendor-specific NEC ESMPRO ServerAgent trap module for the Intel E1 Express Gigabit Ethernet NIC driver running on Windows-based NEC servers. Like its Linux/Broadcom counterpart, it defines only notification objects, not a polling data tree, and organizes fault events by partition, unit, and hardware identity fields. Its role in monitoring is squarely hardware fault detection: it reports NIC driver-level events with severity, links each event to the server unit and partition, and identifies the specific model/serial/part/stepping of the affected adapter so a suspect component can be pinpointed. It relies on the shared NEC ESMPRO enterprise MIB structure and standard SNMP trap mechanisms rather than any independent standards body MIB. Deployment is on NEC Express5800 or equivalent Windows servers managed through ESMPRO Manager or another NMS configured to receive these traps. Engineers can download the PSA-WinIntele1expressTrap-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in PSA-WinIntele1expressTrap-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Fujitsu PRIMEQUEST server partition, Windows, Intel E1 Express Gigabit Ethernet NIC (driver fault traps)
Monitoring Examples
An NMS would subscribe to traps from this MIB to detect Intel E1 Express NIC driver faults on a Windows server without needing to poll interface counters directly. trapEventId and trapEventLevel classify the nature and severity of the fault, trapUnitName and trapPartitionName/trapPartitionId locate the affected server or partition, and trapModelNo/trapSerialNo/trapPartNo/trapStepping combined with trapSuspect identify the specific NIC hardware suspected of failing. This helps an operator quickly decide whether the issue is a driver glitch or a hardware component needing replacement.
What Can Be Monitored
- NIC driver fault events
- event severity level
- affected server partition
- NIC model/part/serial identification
- suspect hardware component flag
