What Is PSA-WinIntelixgbnTrap-MIB?
PSA-WinIntelixgbnTrap-MIB is a NEC ESMPRO ServerAgent proprietary MIB defining SNMP trap notifications for Intel ixgbn-driver 10 Gigabit Ethernet NIC events on Windows-based NEC servers. Like its Emulex counterpart, it is a fault/trap-oriented MIB exposing event severity, event ID, unit name, and server hardware identification fields sent alongside trap notifications. It focuses on monitoring the hardware/software health of the 10GbE NIC and its host — trapEventLevel and trapEventId report driver-detected faults or link issues, trapSuspect flags the likely failing component, and trapModelNo/trapSerialNo/trapPartNo/trapStepping identify the exact server chassis affected. It is a vendor-specific trap MIB tied to the NEC ESMPRO ServerAgent monitoring framework rather than a standard IETF MIB. It is deployed on NEC Windows servers equipped with Intel ixgbn-driven 10GbE NICs, feeding fault events into ESMPRO server management consoles. Engineers can download the PSA-WinIntelixgbnTrap-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in PSA-WinIntelixgbnTrap-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Fujitsu PRIMEQUEST server partition, Windows, Intel ixgbn 10GbE NIC (driver fault traps)
Monitoring Examples
When the Intel ixgbn driver detects a NIC fault or link event, the agent emits a trap carrying trapEventLevel, trapEventId, and trapSuspect to identify the severity, specific condition, and likely faulty component, alongside trapUnitName and trapModelNo/trapSerialNo to identify the physical server. trapPartitionName and trapPartitionId help an administrator narrow the fault down to a specific logical partition on servers supporting hardware partitioning, useful for isolating which partition's NIC triggered the alert.
What Can Be Monitored
- 10GbE NIC driver fault events
- event severity level
- event ID
- suspected failing component
- affected server model/serial number
- affected partition identity
