Category: IP Services

Description: Defines domain-management objects for subscriber domain profiles and service-domain assignments on Paradyne access platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is PDN-DOMAIN-MIB?

PDN-DOMAIN-MIB is a Paradyne Corporation proprietary MIB configuring VNID (Virtual Network ID) domain tagging on Paradyne access-card equipment. Its objects cover a card-level VNID-tagging-mode setting, a card-configuration table (VNID ID, domain name, mux-forwarding, IP filtering/scoping, VNID authentication, row status), a port-configuration table (VNID ID, config, default next-hop router, operational status), and a client-configuration table (address, subnet mask, VNID ID, next-hop router, type, lease time, lease-remaining time). As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm VNID-domain assignment and DHCP-style lease status for clients on a Paradyne access card. It is deployed on Paradyne Corporation access-card equipment. Engineers can download the PDN-DOMAIN-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in PDN-DOMAIN-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Paradyne Corporation access-card equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks pdnClientConfigLeaseRemainTime and pdnCardConfigDomainName to confirm a client's VNID domain assignment and remaining lease time on a Paradyne access card.

What Can Be Monitored

  • VNID domain assignment and client lease status
