Category: CPE/Router

Description: Manages VLAN configuration, membership, and tagging on OneAccess CPE router Ethernet interfaces.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ONEACCESS-VLAN-CONFIG-MIB?

ONEACCESS-VLAN-CONFIG-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB for OneAccess (now part of Ekinops) customer premises equipment, covering VLAN configuration on router Ethernet interfaces. It exposes configuration-oriented data: per-interface VLAN tagging parameters (802.1Q VLAN ID, secondary/inner VLAN ID, default priority) and a separate VLAN mapping table for stacked Q-in-Q VLAN translation between customer and service-provider tags. Although primarily configuration-focused, it supports monitoring by letting administrators confirm current VLAN and priority settings on a live interface and detect misconfigured or inconsistent tagging that could explain traffic loss on a trunk. It is a vendor-specific extension rather than a direct derivative of a formal standard, though its Q-in-Q mapping concepts parallel IEEE 802.1ad provider bridging. It is typically deployed on OneAccess CPE routers at enterprise or carrier Ethernet access sites where VLAN tagging and service-provider VLAN stacking must be verified. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the ONEACCESS-VLAN-CONFIG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ONEACCESS-VLAN-CONFIG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • OneAccess CPE router

Monitoring Examples

An administrator can poll oacVlanConfigInterfaceTable/oacVlanConfigInterfaceEntry to read oacVlanConfigInterfaceDot1qValue and oacVlanConfigInterfaceSecondDot1qValue for a given interface, confirming primary and secondary VLAN tags and whether oacVlanConfigInterfaceDefaultPriority matches the intended QoS marking. Separately, vlanMappingTable exposes innerCVlan, outerSPVlan, and outerEtherType entries used to verify Q-in-Q tag translation; a mismatch here would explain traffic being dropped or misrouted at the provider edge. oacVlanConfigInterfaceRowStatus and vlanMappingRowStatus indicate whether each configured row is active, useful for spotting orphaned or disabled mappings.

What Can Be Monitored

  • per-interface VLAN ID (802.1Q)
  • secondary/inner VLAN ID
  • default VLAN priority
  • Q-in-Q VLAN mapping (customer/provider VLAN)
  • VLAN mapping row status
